L.A. County Sheriffs Dept. Honored by SEMHSOn October 30, South El Monte High School and Principal Eddie Zuniga, honored the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at a football game versus Rosemead High School. The SEMHS Football Team, led by Coach Ray Hernandez, dedicated this year's season to the Deputies of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department-Temple Station. At a ceremony during Friday night's football game, Sheriff Lee Baca and Temple Station were presented with an Eagle Football helmet adorned with the special "TEM 5" logo. The logo was placed on all the Varsity Eagle players helmets as a sign of respect and dedication for the men and women of the Temple Station. Many dignitaries from the South El Monte City Council and the El Monte Union High School District Board were in attendance.
